The 2023 AskGamblers Awards Charity Night made history by raising an astounding €75,000 through its auction. Leading online gaming operators placed bids for prime site placements, all in the name of charity.
This year, the funds will be channeled towards two commendable organizations – The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and UNICEF – as part of AskGamblers’ Charity Month initiative, highlighting the company’s steadfast commitment to philanthropy.
Support to Tanzanian Refugee Children
The Danish Refugee Council will be allocated a significant €40,000 of the total proceeds. These funds are earmarked to enhance Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) services in Tanzania’s Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps. These special zones offer a safe haven for young refugees traumatized by adversities. With AskGamblers’ generous contribution, these children will have better access to education, psychosocial support, and a caring community.
Helping Disadvantaged Serbian Children
UNICEF’s mission, titled “Investing in Core Resources for Core Results for Children in Serbia”, is set to benefit from a €35,000 donation. This project focuses on Serbia’s most disadvantaged children, particularly those in large families, rural domiciles, and Roma settlements. With this funding, kindergartens will receive necessary equipment, and early intervention centers will benefit from assistive technology. Thanks to AskGamblers’ dedication, these children are offered hope and equal opportunities for growth.
